John Koller, Sony’s senior marketing manager for the PSP, mentioned the possibility of GPS-enabled games coming to the PSP. Along with the very serious announcement he said that the new GPS-addon ”changes the dynamics of GPS but also changes the way developers think about games on PSP, because you can start integrating GPS into it.” He also mentioned that they were already looking at other things which include GPS-enabled games for PSP. He concluded this exciting announcement by stating that they should have a game by next year.

There have been many rumours about the price drop of the XBOX 360 gaming console. However, recently an employee of Gamestop snapped a few photos proving the rumours. As in the picture below, the release of the newly priced console will be July 13th. That is just one day before E3! The 20GB pro system should be going for $299.
Recently Square Enix released a small website, under the sensor of course, for Chrono Trigger pointing to the DS. Not long after an official announcement was made regarding this long-awaited game. Square Enix made America very happy when they told us Chrono Trigger would be available by the holidays. The new and improved version of Chrono will be very promising showing to have some extra features like a new dungeon and some sort of wireless play. There will also be touch-screen support of course.
Apple recently posted a document with instructions on hot to switch from your old iPhone to the iPhone 3G.
1) In the US you don’t need your original SIM as your original “account information will be transferred to iPhone 3G’s included SIM when you purchase iPhone 3G.”
2) Outside the US, “you can use your original iPhone’s SIM with iPhone 3G.”
After that you need to just back up your original iPhone to iTunes. This should save all your messages, notes, and other saved data from your iPhone. Then just transfer to your new and improved 3G
I hope you all had a great 4th of July. I was wathing fireworks from my house and at the end something went wrong and you could hear sirens and everything. Still not sure what happened.I didn’t update the site yesterday. I figured I could take a day off. Will be updating you with all the latest news very soon. I also hope you like the leopard banner. It looks pretty good and is definitely a keeper.
It seems that Apple was a little too excited about their new software, Mobile Me, and they ended up shipping Mobile Me to a couple of .Mac users ahead of schedule. One of the luck receivers of this software thought he could suck up and tell Apple probably thinking, “If I tell them then they might let me keep it or reward me and I wouldn’t feel so bad about not telling them…” NOT! Apple called this person back and said that a courier would come by to pick it up. The question is: Why tell Apple in the first place???
The beautiful Samsung Instinct become a quick success in the States, but Canada? We will soon see. Samsung is taking its anti-iPhone up north to Canada later this summer. Bell Mobility is going to be the lucky provider for these phones. The launching price should range $149.95 up to $449.95 for a three-year contract all the way down to zero commitment.
Mega Man 9 will have an 8-bit art style like the original NES games. As ever the robots are on the rampage, and Dr. Wily is back; only this time, he says that the robot attacks are the fault of Mega Man’s creator, Dr. Light. And so it falls to Mega Man to prove his creator’s innocence.
The bad boys of metal musculature causing this high-tech havoc are: Magma Man, Galaxy Man, Jewel Man, Concrete Man, Hornet Man, Plug Man, Tornado Man, and Splash Woman.
They each inhabit a trap-filled lair that reflects their respective themes, leading to Mega Man traversing molten material in Magma Man’s domain, while Tornado Man’s stage features spinning magnetic platforms which allow the Blue Bomber to defy gravity. And Plug Man’s stage features certain walls that will force the Titanium Titan to square off against shadowy dopplegangers when he walks past.
And of course, when a Robot Master gets beaten, Mega Man will acquire their special weapons for his own personal arsenal, such as Galaxy Man’s Black Hole Bombs, for which he’ll have to find the next boss in line to whom it works against. Hmm, Black Hole Bomb? I bet Hornet Man might have a hard time escaping that…
It’s finally here, fellow PS3 owners. The granddaddy of all firmware updates doesn’t seem to have an appropriately significant revision number attached to it (you’d think they would’ve at least called this one v2.50), but regardless, its feature set will surely bring all the boys (and girls) to the yard.
In case you’re a bit behind the curve and aren’t aware of what the v2.40 update will allow you to do, check out parts one and two of Sony’s official video walkthrough for the update, as well as the update’s FAQ, all of which were posted on the PlayStation.Blog yesterday. The update went live at midnight EDT.
I just downloaded and install the update myself. For such a huge (at least in terms of features) update, it took a very short time to download — about two and a half minutes for me (and I’m on wireless). The seminal system software update took around three minutes to install. As for Sony’s official list of what the update brings — as was displayed before installation of the update — I’ve transcribed it verbatim, and you can see it after the jump.
Well, what are you waiting for? Go download and install v2.40, then sit back, relax, pop in GTA IV, and message your friends while you’re getting serviced by hookers. Speaking of which, the image above is a photo I took while accessing the XMB during GTA IV. And for everybody who was complaining, GTA IV automatically pauses when you hit the PS button.
